A smoothie is one of my go-to ways to start the day, and this chocolate peanut butter smoothie is a favourite.
Smoothies can be a great way to get a big boost of nutrients and vitamins at the start of the day, but they’re not for everyone (especially in the winter months!) and I get that, living in the UK.
That’s why this smoothie is a favourite of mine. Although I normally use frozen fruit and veg, when it is colder outside I try to use fresh spinach and banana so the smoothie is not so icy cold.
Smoothie Ingredients
- 250ml water
- A handful of spinach (fresh or frozen)
- X1 small banana (or half a large one)
- X1 serving of chocolate protein powder (or x2 tbsps of cacao powder)
- X1 tbsp peanut butter
How to make Chocolate Peanut Butter Smoothie
- Pop everything into a blender and mix until smooth
Variations for Peanut Butter Smoothie
You can replace the peanut butter with any kind of nut butter you’d prefer. The taste will be slightly different, but it still gives it that creamy texture.
