These chocolate nut butter dates are the best thing ever!
The Medjool dates offer a sweetness, while the raw chocolate provides a slight bitterness mixed with the creamy nutty taste from the nut butter. Offering a healthier version of those toffee and fudge sweets!
Chocolate Nut Butter Dates Ingredients
- 12 – 14 Medjool Dates
- Peanut, almond, or cashew butter
- Melted dark chocolate (or you can use my 5-minute raw homemade chocolate recipe)
How to make Nut Butter Dates
- Slice the dates down the middle, careful not to cut them completely in half
- Remove the stone
- Add in your choice of nut butter
- Pop in the freezer for around 30 minutes
- About 5 minutes before removing them from the freezer, make the raw chocolate (or melt your dark chocolate)
- Remove the dates from the freezer and one by one dip them into the chocolate. Make sure they’re fully covered
- Place on a cooling rack so any access chocolate drips down while they set (put some baking paper underneath to catch any drops)
- Once set, place in an airtight container in the fridge (for a fudgy like texture) or the freezer (for a toffee-like texture)
